Kamen Rider Ghost: Yokai Chronicles is a cooperative story made by GammaTron and Kamen Rider Zer0. It is a crossover of Kamen Rider Ghost and the franchise Yokai Watch.
Summary[]
On his 18th birthday, Takeru Tenkujii encounters a young woman named Cyber Miko at a sacred tree near his temple home in time for her to unseal the Yokai Butler Whisper. While she is given the power of the Yokai Watch, Takeru was killed by two Ganma that came after them due to the Yokai Watch exposing them. Takeru now has 99 days to find 15 magical items known as Eyecons that house the spirits of 15 famous people to gain one wish. At the same time, he has to fight off the spirits known as Ganma and deal with daily life of encountering and befriending various Yokai.
Cast[]
Takeru Tenkujii/Kamen Rider Ghost: The main character of the story. He was killed by the Ganma on his birthday just after meeting Cyber and the Yokai Whisper. He was given the GhostDriver by Sennin, which allows him to become Kamen Rider Ghost. Originally, he had 99 days to live in order to gather the 15 Eyecons to grant his wish. While he was able to get his wish, he used it to save his adopted sister Kanon. His father's soul gave him 99 more days, but Cyber-through Enma Daiou-was granted her 99 days as well, giving him 198 days to regather them to make another wish.
Makoto/Kamen Rider Specter: Takeru's adopted older brother who spent the majority of his life in the Ganma World.
Alain/Kamen Rider Necrom: The youngest Prince of the Ganma World. He is the one who stays on Earth to ake sure the Ganma World's plans don't go awry. He was eventually given the power to become Kamen Rider Necrom. He has a strange fascination with things on Earth, primarily Takoyaki. A prototype of his henshin device was stolen by Cyber and given to Sennin, who turned it into the YokaiLoader for her.
Cyber Chichigami Miko/Kamen Rider Yokai: The female main lead. She was given the Yokai Watch by the Yokai Butler Whisper, which allows her to see spirits and even summon them with a Yokai Medal. After several encounters with the Ganma and Yokai that were a solid white color, she was given the YokaiLoader by Sennin and several scientific Yokai she had befriended that lets her become Kamen Rider Yokai. Due to family genetics, she is the tallest cast member much to her embarrassment.
Whisper: The Yokai Butler that was once the Yokai Gunshi Whisbei to Ieyasu Mitsunari who believed himself to be the one that caused his master's death through his Inspiriting of the man. He originally relied on the YokaiPad to explain about Yokai before spending time studying it for Cyber's sake.
Yurusen: Takeru's spirit partner. She is a snarky one-eyed spirit that constantly annoys others, often Whisper and Cyber. She takes Eyecons seriously to the point of humorously giving Whisper injuries if he does something to the Eyecons.
Komasan and Komajirou: Brothers who live at Tenkujii Temple. Komasan is a Komainu and Komajirou is a Komatora. They both have the same mother, but different fathers. Komasan is more naïve than Komajirou in everyday life and, thanks to Sennin, has developed a love for Cosplay. Komajirou is more tech savvy than his brother. Both often order weapons online, thinking they're meant for something else (such as ordering a chaingun when they thought it was a gun that makes chains they could use for the temple). Komasan considers the Edison Eyecon as his Symbol of Friendship to Takeru, even managing to achieve the ability to temporarily evolve into Shishikoma.
Jibanyan: A jibakurei who died protecting his owner Emi from a speeding truck possessed by the Shinigami. He became the Yokai Jibanyn who forgot almost everything about his old life and hates vehicles with a passion. Attacking the Machine Ghoststriker is how Takeru first knew of him before helping him protect Emi from a Car Ganma after the Musashi Eyecon she had picked up. He now lives with Cyber at her house, enjoying his new life as a Yokai. Due to absorbing the Pretty Ark meant for Cyber to use as Yokai, he can now become his Lightside and Shadowside selves with his first time using them causing him to develop amnesia until he saved Emi from the Shinigami once more.
Kanon: Takeru and Makoto's younger sister. She spent her time in Ganma World stuck in an Eyecon. Takeru used the Eyecon Wish to restore her body to normal and Cyber gave her the Yokai Watch U after her original Watch became the Yokai Watch Dream due to awakening Enma Daiou. She now attends school, but would rather go on adventures with USApyon.
USApyon: Kanon's first Yokai friend she made on her own. He is an otter Yokai that disguises himself as a rabbit Yokai in a spacesuit. He dreams of travelling to the moon and, thanks to Kanon, was able to achieve that dream. He now lives with her, often helping her with homework and going on adventures with her. Angering him causes him to enter 'Vader Mode.'
Trivia[]
- The reason for this crossover is that Ghost and Yokai Watch both involve spirits and an item that allows them to see said spirits (Shiranui and the Kumo Lantern for Kamen Rider Ghost while the titular Yokai Watch for Yokai Watch)
- This story is the first to introduce the OC Cyber Chichigamisama Miko as well as the debut of Kamen Rider Yokai.
